Definition of the past continuous and simple past.
-Past simple: We use the past simple to talk about an event that happened in the past.
-Past continuous: The most common use of the past continuous is to discuss an event that occurred at a certain point in the past.
We often use the past continuous and past simple together. When this happens, the past continuous describes a longer duration 'background' situation, and the past simple describes an action or event. Often, the 'action' described by the past simple interferes with the 'situation' described by the past continuous.
Present Perfect Continuous Tense
The present perfect continuous tense (also known as the present perfect progressive tense) indicates that something started in the past and continues in the present. The present perfect continuous is formed using the construction has/have been + present participle (root + -ing).
Communication technology
Communication Technology: Definition -- International organizations such as the United Nations consider information and communication technology (ICT) to include any tool used to create, store, transmit or share information. Some examples of communication technologies are computers, internet, television, radio, telephone, and podcasts.
