English Business Pertemuan 1

Peace be upon you, and Allah mercy and blessings. At this time I want to share what I got from learning English Business. In this first lesson we are given an explanation of what English business is.

Business English is a type of English language mainly used in the business world, which has a more formal grammar (than basic or conversational English) and a different specialized vocabulary (to those used in science, mathematics, arts, hospitals, etc.) work which is usually shorter than verb phrases in basic or conversational English

> (conversational) i'd like to buy a kilo of tomatoes

(business) i would like to purchase a kilo of tomatoes

> (conversational) i need your help on this

(business) i require some assistance from you regarding this matter

> (conversational) please let them know that the president has just arrived right now

(business) inform them of the immediate arrival of the president

in Korea and Japan, and sometimes in China there is an English test called TOEIC which I once taught students; The vocabulary and terms in this test are business English.

    Who is business English for?

If you are in a work environment that uses English whether by email, telephone or in person, then you need to improve your business English skills.

For those of you professionals, bankers, lawyers, IT, engineers, sales, doctors or any profession that requires you to use business English whether with clients, supervisors, principals or vendors.

or if you are a CEO or HR manager who wants his staff English skills Need to be improved, of course good business English skills not only increase the company's brand but increase productivity, it is said that many companies lose money because they are not able to communicate in good English. Also, you are a job seeker who plans to apply and wants to work for an international company that will definitely use English in their daily lives.

    Functional Language

Another aspect is the study and practice of language and the language skills required to perform typical business functions such as running meetings, negotiating or making presentations in English. Because basically English is an international discussion, so if we want to be a businessman we must at least be able to speak English because it is not necessarily our clients from our country, there must be some of our clients from abroad. Maybe this is all I got from my first lesson.

we talk about introductions, "Key Language: Introducing yourself and others"

There are several important points that I got, namely:

Introductoins

-New language Present simple and continuous

-Vocabulary Etiquette for introductions

-New skill Introducing yourself and others

In this second lesson with the introductions material, we are given the opportunity to introduce our biodata using English, starting from our name, address, place of birth, reasons for choosing the study program we entered, etc. In this lesson we are given the task of introducing in English. We are given the task of listening to a sentence and then writing it in the answer column provided, the goal is that we can spell English sentences properly and correctly.

The second is Vocabulary Etiquette for introductions, in this material we learn about the vocabulary used for self-introductions, from beginning to end, and the third is new skills Introducing ourselves and others, we get this from the 2 materials we previously learned, in this second lesson we learn how to introduce ourselves and others.
